Travel Information - Mexico Surf Camps

Arrival and Departure Airport: Arrival / departure airport: Ordaz International Airport in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (PVR).
 
Drop off / arrival information: We will be waiting for you after you pass immigration with a sign reading `All Star Adventures`. Please make sure your flight arrives between 9am and 6pm on the first day of your session.

End of trip return / pick up information: We will shuttle you to the airport in time for your flight on the last day of your session. Please schedule your flight to depart between 9am and 6pm

Flights: We do not sell flights or insurance to our clients. But, often our travel agent will have great deals… so feel free to check with us first.  For other recommendations click here

CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL

Travel Insurance: Travel insurance, including emergency evacuation coverage, is required for all our trips. We ask you not to attend our trips without first purchasing travel insurance coverage. We recommend that you purchase a policy that includes a cancellation protection so that you will be covered in the occurrence that you are unable to attend a trip (due to injury, illness or other unforeseen circumstances) or in the unlikely event that a trip must be cancelled. We do not provide travel insurance for our clients. Please contact your local travel agent to purchase travel insurance.  You may also click here to view recommended web sites for insurance.

Passports & Visas: A valid passport is required (with a minimum of 6 months validity). Citizens of some countries will also require a visa. To learn more about visa and entry requirements for New Zealand, please visit the Mexican Embassy website at: http://portal.sre.gob.mx/usa/index.php?Itemid=1  or consult your local travel agent. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that you have the correct travel documentation.

Age: Ages 12 and up are welcome on our trips (younger exceptions with parents or other relatives traveling). The majority of our clients are between the ages of 12 and 45, but we also have many clients who are older and younger than this.  You, as a parent or guardian, will be required to complete a travel letter and have it notarized for youth under 18 traveling with us. Groups are seperated by age. For example: young teens 12-14, older teens 15-17; adults 18 - 24, adults 25+.

If you do not receive an immediate answer when calling the above numbers, please leave us a detailed message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.  Cell phone numbers of staff and house numbers at camp base will also be provided in your welcome kit.

Health requirements: necessary vaccinations and physicians’ clearance are required before joining us for a trip.  Please carefully review the health information section of the following webpage for up-to-date health information, including information on the quality of medical care, the availability of medications and the necessity for vaccinations in Mexico: U.S. Department of State Consular Information Sheet: Mexico. You are responsible for ensuring that you receive any necessary vaccinations before embarking on your trip with us.

Fitness requirements: The majority of our trips are open to people who are beginners in our primary sports. You should be at a sensible level of fitness before attending one of our trips. You should also enjoy physical activity and the outdoors. During our trips you will be able to rest if you find that you are over-exerting yourself. You should make certain that you are in sound shape to enjoy your trip to the fullest.

Safety & Security: To maximize your safety during our tours you should exercise common sense and caution at all times. We recommend that you always stick to set travel arrangements, and avoid unknown areas. We also recommend that you wear minimal jewelry and that you keep valuable items safely stored. Always keep a copy of your passport, airline tickets, traveler’s checks and credit card numbers separate from where you keep the originals. Spending Money
» Meals - All breakfasts are provided. For lunch and dinner, you should budget 5-10 USD per meal.
» Other expenses - apart from meals, there are no necessary additional expenses for this trip, but you might like spending money for souvenir shopping, nightlife and internet cafés.
» – Tipping is not required but a small tips on meals are appreciated in Mexico
